General

  • Windsor Leisure Centre has two pools and excellent sporting facilities, including a gym, a sports hall, a rooftop jogging track, a dance studio, sauna and jacuzzis. The gym can be used by the disabled. Telephone 01753 850004.
  • Thames Valley Softball Club is based at Churchmead School in Datchet, 5 minutes drive from Windsor. The Club is open to adults
    and children and holds events during the year, including a Childrens Tournament. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the training sessions that are held weekly.
  • Ascot Blues Mixed Softball Club is a friendly mixed softball club playing in and around the Ascot area in Berkshire. The club has 2 teams and is always looking to recruit more players, men and women, of all ages (over 16) and abilities, including beginners.

Horse racing / Polo

  • Royal Windsor Racecourse, Maidenhead Road, 01753 865234. Holds racing throughout the year, in afternoons and evenings. Admission from £4, with a discount on groups. Children under 16 and wheelchair users free of charge. A crèche is available at evening meetings, Saturdays and Bank Holidays.

Swimming & Watersports

  • Datchet Water offers sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. Telephone 01753 683990.
  • Old Windsor Lifeguards – We are a local voluntary organisation keen on attracting new members and continuing to provide a service to the local community. We train in Old Windsor and Eton and keep craft in the Arches in Windsor for use during many events such as the Windsor Triathlon. There is a two week free trial to all new members.
